Taking the World Knowledge Bank® Services and Benefits into Urban India —A Brief Outline
WKBank will work with India’s libraries.
Today most urban libraries around the world have English speaking librarians. WKBank will open a conversation with them about the World Knowledge Bank®’s services and benefits to see how we can work together to make the WKBank ’s service available to their communities.
WKBank will ask for their guidance on ways to reach people, including web sites and library sites where the WKBank can post information about its services. WKBank will see India's existing library staff can assist in helping their library users know about and learn how to use the WKBank's website and even translate it. WKBank will ask for guidance on how to approach door to door sales companies and which agencies to approach.
WKBank will use India’s door to door sales practice to reach a spectrum of people including the urban poor. WKBank will carefully select the people who will be going door to door to make sure they will be welcomed and be able to put the people they are trying to reach at ease. WKBank will hire women to reach out to other women as much as possible.
