The WKBank takes what people do naturally

—namely—figuring out how to live—and provides a way to exchange that knowledge and insight and see revenues from it. These results are so important, because rather than having this knowledge and creativity be lost or not shared, people will be able to learn from each other in a better way and have more resources to create better lives for themselves and their families.

Rather than a world of scarcity and cruel competition for appreciation and a good quality of life something new begins to emerge, a world of recognized abundance where each of us adds to the opportunity and good luck of others. A world in which the more a person gives the more the person is given to and not just on an interpersonal level but on the most basic and practical aspects of life: How shall I feed, clothe and shelter myself and my family.

In our current world, creativity is either ignored or hoarded.

Creativity is often exploited by individuals other than those who created it. This competitive system breeds distrust and to a certain extent isolation and loneliness, a sense of being disconnected from the world. This sense of isolation, being unappreciated and distrustful of others, seems the price of much of contemporary life. While the WKBank does not want to turn back the clock on the progress made in expanding human rights and individual freedom and responsibility, our democracy needs to evolve in such a way that people can reach across their individual freedom to reconnect with each other. The primary engine of reconnecting is co-creation. The WKBank is founded on the generative principle of co-creation and enables, supports and amplifies co-creation by encouraging people to work together at every level. Not a co-creation that erases or blurs our individuality but a co-creation that is built and retains on our personal uniqueness.

The WKBank works from the perception that human creativity is bountiful, that no need exists to hoard creativity, and that if we share it in creative ways, in a way that is just, it? s a new model for competition and community itself. Instead of subtracting from the world and each other, the WKBank creates more? more revenues, more appreciation, more kindness, more justice more goods and services for each other. Positive Changes the WKBank Creates

  • a) a greater experience of being appreciated and valued, for each individual. Our loving wish for our children is that they are appreciated and valued for who they are and that they continue to grow and emerge into the fully realized person they can be, including taking responsibility for mistakes made and hurts given. In a kind and generous community this is what we wish for each other and ultimately this is what we wish for ourselves.
  • b) increases the capacity for each individual to contribute to his or her community and shape his or her world. No longer will a person? s identity remain in some actuarial table or market survey but the vitality of each life can be felt in a generous and safe place.
  • c) provides new ways for marginalized or previously ignored people to generate revenues through the things they already know and already do, that are valuable to others.
  • d) takes people from being victims to being viable participants in the world. People who have experience calamity such as natural disasters have something essential to share with the world. Namely, how did they survive? Knowledge of the complex and rich experience of their own survival is of great value to all of us. All the trials in life... illness, loss of work, business failure, health crisis, loss of loved ones, are intense personal survival experiences. Rather than merely standing in an unemployment line, the unemployed should be able to share what they have learned through the personal experience of their job and use that knowledge to help generate revenues until they can find work again. Rather than feeling isolated and a failure because of illness or business failure those experiences be shared so others can learn and help you as you help others. Not in a way that exhausts us all, but when and how you can.
  • e) addresses or rectifies the inequities of how revenues are generated from creative acts. Many creative people are driven into isolation by the thought that what they actually are, creative, will be taken from them and made to serve someone else? s purposes for someone else? s benefit. Ultimately, creativity is not something you do or have. In the end it is who you are and this knowledge is what the World Knowledge Bank® is built on.

Few things make a person feel more isolated, unappreciated and despairing than to live a life of not being heard, whether because no one is listening or we don? t know how to reach out to others. How is the World Knowledge Bank® built?
